A lot’s full journey, at a glance
Nine key stages shape every lot in OstraOS, from spat to shipment. A clear story for the whole crew.
Every lot that enters your farm follows a clear, signposted, and fully recorded path in OstraOS. That continuity is the promise of traceability you can stand behind — and of a team that always knows exactly where each bag is.
Nine stages that frame production
From the arrival of spat to the shipment to your customer, OstraOS structures the cycle around nine pivotal moments: farm entry, on-water rearing, grading, affinage, purification, going on sale, packing, shipping, and — when needed — reconciliation after an oversell. Each stage is triggered by a business event that automatically feeds stock, zones and traceability.
- Farm entry: spat or stock received from a peer, with an automatic delivery slip.
- Rearing in beds, on tables or on longlines, matching your trade and zones.
- Grading and sorting to assign the right commercial size.
- Affinage in claires for lots aiming at a qualitative label.
- Purification, the regulatory step before any sale.
- Going on sale: the lot becomes available in your orders.
- Packing in bourriches, crates or nets, with a use-by date computed automatically.
- Shipping to the customer, palletised or not depending on the order.
- Reconciliation: for oversells, OstraOS matches the sold lot with the physical lot received later.
Remember
OstraOS enforces the right order, automates regulatory checks and keeps the full history — no re-keying, no parallel spreadsheet.
Free-floating events at any time
Alongside the main stages, certain events can happen at any moment: zone transfer, water quality check, meat yield test, official health inspection, quality change, losses (mortality, predation, weather, theft), lot split or merge, sorting and bagging operations. All are logged in a few clicks and add to the lot’s story.
A story told on a single screen
At any time, a lot’s record traces its journey: where it was born, where it has been, what it has become. The same view serves your field crew, your quality team, your health audits, and a curious consumer scanning the QR code on a bourriche.
Tip
Upstream traceability (from a finished product back to its production zone) and downstream traceability (from a zone to every product shipped) live behind the same interface.
