Qualities overview
Assign, evolve and defend the commercial quality of a lot.
A lot's quality — Fine, Spéciale, Organic, Label Rouge — is one of the main levers of your commercial value. OstraOS not only records that quality: it defends it throughout the cycle by checking affinage durations, stocking densities and expected meat-yield indices.
A quality assigned, checked, defended
- At lot creation, you pick the target quality among those available for the species.
- During production, the quality can evolve via a Quality Change event (for instance: a Standard lot becoming Fine after affinage).
- At go-on-sale time, OstraOS checks that the claimed label's conditions are actually met.
The current quality is always the last recorded change. If no quality is set, the system uses the species default.
Remember
A quality change after affinage may reset the affinage counter if the new quality requires a different duration. OstraOS flags this for you.
