SFTP, AS2 and email protocols

Once the EDI file is generated, it still has to be sent. OstraOS models the standard protocols used in the logistics chain so the setup matches exactly what your carrier expects.
Four protocols modelled
- SFTP: secure transfer over SSH, the de facto standard for B2B logistics exchanges.
- AS2: encrypted HTTPS protocol with receipt acknowledgement, used by very large accounts and major retailers.
- Email: simple attachment-based transmission, still used in less automated chains.
- API: direct integration for modern carriers exposing their own endpoints.
For each carrier, you configure the endpoint, credentials and, depending on the protocol, the authentication material (SSH key, AS2 certificate). Everything sits on the carrier record, not scattered across multiple configurations.
Good to know
The SFTP/AS2/email/API parameters captured in OstraOS document the target channel. Depending on your integration, sending can be triggered by an export or by a script connected to OstraOS.
