Shipping notice (DESADV)
Download the DESADV file after palletisation and send it to your carrier.
The shipping notice — DESADV in EDIFACT lingo — is the message that precisely tells your carrier what they'll receive: items, quantities, pallets, recipients, dates. It is a central logistics document for carriers and large retail.
One click after palletisation
Once the order is palletised, the "Download EDI (DESADV)" button generates a compliant EDIFACT file. You then send it to your carrier through the channel they prefer: SFTP, AS2, email or API.
What the file contains
- Interchange header: sender and recipient identifiers, interchange number, standard version.
- Document identification: number, date.
- Stakeholders: seller (you), recipient (the end customer), carrier.
- Items, quantities, weights and pallet packing.
Tip
DESADV requires the Transport EDI module on the carrier record. Without it, the option stays locked — you instantly know what is available and what is not.
