Zones, tanks and claires
Three zone families covering every operational use case.
OstraOS distinguishes three zone families, each matching a production-cycle stage. This typology mirrors the trade: a rearing bed does not behave like a purification tank, and an affinage claire has its own rules.
Three families, three uses
- Storage and rearing zones: beds, tables, longlines, bouchots — where your lots spend most of their life.
- Purification tanks: filtered-seawater zones, the mandatory step before any commercial release.
- Affinage claires: dedicated basins for Fine de Claire, Spéciale, Pousse en Claire, Label Rouge qualities.
Each zone has its own usage rules and its own possible events. A purification tank can host a purification event but not an affinage one. OstraOS guides your team to only offer the operations that match the context.
Tip
You keep the freedom to define your own zone types if your trade demands it. The three main families cover the essentials, but the model is extensible.
