Default carrier

For recurring customers, the carrier rarely changes from one order to the next. OstraOS lets you set a default carrier on the customer record, which pre-fills the matching field for every new order for that customer.
Pre-fill, not lock-in
The default carrier is a starting point. On each order, you keep the option to change it case by case — say for a one-off delivery that needs another provider. No constraint, just a daily time saver.
Good to know
The carrier's detailed EDI configuration (supported messages, protocols, slots) lives on the carrier record, not on the customer record. The customer only carries a shortcut.
