OstraAI is the intelligent assistant built into OstraOS. It analyses the data captured in your farm — production events, water quality, sales, losses, seasonal conditions — to suggest informed operational decisions: predicting mortality spikes before they unfold, identifying the best moments to move a lot, spotting anomalies in your indicators before they hurt production.
Why AI in shellfish farming
Shellfish farming is as much a trade of intuition as of technique. A grower's experience — reading the water, anticipating a heatwave, recognising a lot that is about to decline — remains irreplaceable. OstraAI doesn't claim to replace that intuition, but to complement it with a continuous analysis of your historical data that no one could do by hand.
Three key everyday uses
- Mortality-rate prediction, based on historic conditions (water temperature, salinity, climate events) and the health of your current lots. An early alert gives you time to act: transfers, density relief, additional checks.
- Best-moment suggestions for sensitive operations — transfers to a claire, grading, purification entries — based on your herd's calendar and the conditions of the medium.
- Anomaly detection in your commercial and production indicators, to react before the situation worsens: abnormal revenue drop on a channel, unusual losses on a zone, payment delays that pile up.
Two levels matching your plan
OstraAI ships at two levels. The **Personal Assistant** is included in the Pro plan: it accompanies you daily with contextual suggestions and a conversational chat over your data. The **Advanced module**, included in the Advanced plan, adds predictive models on mortality and growth, comparative analyses across zones, and recommendation exports to your dashboard.
